Priapus Shot® (P-Shot®)

What is P-Shot®?

It is a nonsurgical procedure, a specific way that utilizes a man’s PRP (Plasma Rich Platelets), which are injected into the penis. Growth Factors (GF) and Stem Cells derived from a man’s own PRP stimulate penile tissue rejuvenation to improve the health of the penis.

The name Priapus Shot® (P-Shot®) is protected by US Patent & Trademark law, and only physicians who are members of the P-Shot® group are licensed to use the name.

What Doctors say about P-Shot?

Most regular Doctors stay silent about Sex problems… (Remember, better sex leads to more energy, more creativity, increased confidence, less depression, and improved overall health)

The reason may be that there are few proven treatment options. Both physician and patient would be discouraged by discussing a problem for which there is no proven solution-so. Most of the doctors do not ask.

P-Shot® Q&A:

Where is the injection put?

Directly into the corpus cavernosum with a small needle and into the head of the penis, similar to how Trimix injections are used for erectile dysfunction.

Does it hurt?

Strong local anesthesia medicine is applied to the penis or preferred a dorsal penile nerve block. Either way, the pain is similar to a regular small needle shot to the arm.

Will it cause scar tissue?

If we look at men who inject 3 to 5 times weekly over many years to treat erectile dysfunction, there is a 10% incidence of scar tissue formation. This is with multiple injections for many years. With P-Shot®, there is only one injection, so the chances of scar tissue formation should be minimal, if at all. (There has not been a report of any fibrosis or scar tissue formation of injections in the face, breasts, O-Shot®, and P-Shot®).

I did some research, and most people say it takes three weeks to notice results. However, you said you saw results immediately. Please explain. Could it be that everyone reacts differently to P-Shot®?

Initial volume is from the combination of the platelets and the serum (water) in the blood, plus all the growth factors in the serum that the activated platelets are starting to release. Over the next three days, some of the serum (water) is absorbed by the body. Then there is the growth of new tissue that continues for at least 12 weeks, bringing the volume back up to close to where it was with the initial injection.

How much growth can I expect?

10-20% increase in length and girth. Girth comes first (with the injection), then size (with continued growth). Smokers have the least amount of change.

Will my insurance cover the procedure?

Insurances do not cover the procedure.

P-Shot® Procedure Description:

Potent numbing cream is applied to the penis and the arm. The blood is drawn from the arm, just as it would be for a routine blood test. Then using a centrifuge and FDA-approved kit, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is isolated. Calcium chloride is added to PRP, which triggers the platelets to release different growth factors (GF) that trigger our stem cells to grow new and younger tissue. The PRP is injected into the penis. The whole process takes about 30 minutes, and the actual injection process takes less than 5 minutes.

What is PRP, and is it safe?

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is essentially an increased concentration of autologous (your own) platelets suspended in a small amount of plasma after centrifugation. The patient’s blood is collected and centrifuged until it is separated into three layers: poor platelet plasma (PPP), PRP, and red blood cells.

In our center, we use the two spins method (which is one of the best methods to obtain PRP) by separating PRP (Plasma Rich Plasma) from PPP (Plasma Poor Plasma). 1st spin separates PPP from red fraction and PRP. 2nd spin separates the red fraction from PRP.

Platelets play a fundamental role in hemostasis and are a natural source of growth factors (GF). GF includes platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), insulin-like growth factor (IGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), platelet-derived angiogenic factor (PDAF), and transforming growth factor-beta (TGF), etc. In addition to growth factors, platelets release numerous other substances, e.g., fibronectin, vitronectin, sphingosine, 1-phosphate, etc.

PRP stimulates wound healing, and tissue regeneration decreases scar formation and shortens healing time by involving in crucial stages including chemotaxis, migration, proliferation, differentiation, angiogenesis, osteogenesis, collagen synthesis, etc.

Biopsy studies show that when PRP is injected, stem cells multiply and grow new, younger tissue.

PRP has been used for more than 20 years by professional athletes and has been used clinically by orthopedic surgeons, dentists, wound care centers, etc. There has never been one severe PRP reaction prepared by an FDA-approved kit in any part of the body.
